Veovo’s Passenger Predictability platform enables airports to monitor and manage queues in real-time, capture productivity and passenger flow historical insight and forecast future passenger behaviour – all from one cloud platform. The machine learning platform is continually enhanced with new use cases and applications to optimise airport performance, reduce costs and improve experiences. In this release, we introduce a new Queue Balancer solution.

At airports, standing in line can be a source of annoyance for travellers, especially when they feel like others are getting through faster. To make the process quicker and support priority passengers better, airports often employ staff to guide travellers to the correct scanning machine, dispatch lane, check-in counter, or border control booth.
The Veovo Queue Balancing solution eliminates the need for manual queue distribution and reduces costs. Using machine learning and real-time data, the solution automatically directs passengers via dynamic signages.
See how queues form and change
Queue Balancer provides real-time access to data and insights on predicted wait time, queue length, lane, kiosk or holding zone occupancy, allowing you to track the flow of passengers and make informed decisions. The system automatically detects queues and maze configuration changes. It can distinguish between distinct types of people, for instance, late showups and transferring passengers, as they move through the process areas. This is essential for accurate processing and meeting service level agreements (SLAs). Veovo’s technology-agnostic approach means it can use the best combination of sensors, regardless of the maze configuration or infrastructure considerations. It can even connect to existing sensors and cameras to protect your investments.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1682634276698{padding-top: 30px !important;}”]Dynamically call passengers
Queue Balancer uses dynamic displays to guide passengers to the next available counter or holding area. It calculates the best line to join based on wait times, occupancy, and processing speed, reducing the delay between when a traveller leaves a counter and when it is occupied again. The system can also automatically prioritise specific passengers if their queue time exceeds the service level target. For example, when a predicted transfer queue time exceeds service levels, more transfer passengers are called forward to the holding zones.
Data-driven process improvement
Veovo’s dashboards are easy to configure and provide real-time and historical visibility of each processing area, allowing for data-driven process improvement. Our team will work with you to suggest the best approach to measure passenger flow and guide passengers to achieve optimal outcomes.
